1st Event Committee - Winter Solstice Programme Team
Holla cookies!! It's been quite some time since the last time I updated here. But hey here I come again so stay with me aite?!
So my first semester had officially ended 3 days ago! Finals done so it means its HOLIDAYYY!!! I'm pretty excited bout it since CNY is coming but it also kinda scares me off thinking 2nd semester is coming after CNY hmmmm~~~
Anyway so here what happened in this one semester :)
Throwback to the mid sem 1, I went for an interview to try my luck! It's for the Winter Solstice Dinner event on past December & pretty lucky that I got into the Programme Team! So basically what we did were to plan the 'show' & performance carried out that night & there goes my a lot of first time hahahahhaha
First time writing a script for a drama (even though its not by me alone but I'm sure I did learn something from that)
First time training the actors & actresses every single night
First time mamak with my programme team family even though it was late night
First time handling the lighting (& thanks to my handsome partner WaiChiong, must be tired for you running up & down)
It's really really tiring & busy as even my roommates said they don't feel like I'm staying in the same room with them hahahhahahahah Since I've got all that training every night till late night, basically all of them were asleep every time I went back to the room. So yea they only get to see me during class time & that's it as I'll be gone the whole night. & yea my best friends - headache & gastric visited me even more often than they usually did during that time, Yet my course mates often asked me if I was okay because I looked pale & tired & sleepless & sick. It was suffering & I got sick alot BUT I gotta say that I really did enjoy every single bit of it!! I know some might say that I'm out of my mind or why am I torturing myself. But hey, if it's something you like to do, I think it's all worth for it. People always says YOLO but if you're doing it all right & it makes you happy, I believe once is definitely enough.
Anyway, I know my programme family will still say that it's not my fault when they see this but I really would like to apologize again for the mistake on lighting happened on event that day. I had this little mistake of forgot to do my lighting on a part of the singing & I think it affected not a lot but still it affected the performance a little. People might say I was being sentimental but I think I'm just stressing up myself too much that I cried for this minor stuff thrice but without having my roommates to know. I'm sorry again my HOU. *bows*
I never really show my appreciation to them one by one ever since event ended so there it goes now & I hope it's still not late for it. I'm not sure if any of my programme family team will read this but I really want to say this:
WC my dearest HOU, thank you for everything that you taught me throughout the event.
Thank you for handling this little nonsense crazy girl throughout the whole training.
Thank you for dragging me to have supper during late night as it would definitely be one of the best part of my memories in this little journey of mine.
Thank you for protecting me from being stuck in a awkward situation.
Thank you for pampering me even though I had that little mistake on event that day.
Ivy our dearest assistant HOU, thank you for giving me a chance to learn of writing a script & training the actors/actresses. I gotta say that I'm pretty impressed for the way of you seeing the mistakes from the training. Those minor parts that we all might missed. I really did learn a lot from you even though you didn't teach it personally.
XueTing my craziest girl in team, thank you for pampering & tolerating my attitude especially when I had a bad day or sick. It''s really fate that we got into the same programme team in WS & publicity in CNY! Can't wait to work with you again in coming CNY event. Let's do this together & hopefully more in the future. Ohh & no doubt you definitely have your very insane way of laughing HAHHAHAHAHAH
Joo my baogan partner, thank you for always making me laugh. Even when sometimes you're being sarcastic but considerating you as my partner, I forgive you HAHAHAHAHHAHA & yes I miss the time when we sing together. I know you're caring bout my health especially my liver but its okay as I think you're worst than me hahahahahhaha Please sleep more & earlier for yourself too okayy?!
WeiJie my 'tailaoxixi' guy, AHHAHAHAHAHHAHA just by looking at the title made me want to laugh man! Thank you for being funny & crazy all the time to play with me! I might be childish sometimes but trust me when I said I really think that you can act well in any given roles. You've a special way of you own acting & definitely can write so don't make them a hidden part okay?! Show them out & be proud of it!
Ang the cutest & LiPing the tallest in team, thank you for having everything done for props & clothes all, it really did helped a lot when we don't have to think about it knowing each of our tasks is tough. I'm sorry that I didn't talk much to both of you but thank you for tolerating with my crazy attitude. No matter how, I did learn about systematic from both of you & it's great to have you two efficient girls in the team.
Benja & Ken the tiring group in team, the dance performance that night was really great & thank God that the LED was fine at the very last minute! I'm amazed the way you all get to perform such amazing dance in such short time. Thank you for always providing food in between of the training & even the rehearsal night which we had peanut butter bread prepared by Benja.
& to all the actors/actresses, the performance wouldn't be a success without any one of you!! A big round of applause to each & every single one of you! It was really touched watching the whole performance from the end of the hall. Sorry that I was unable to be at backstage to support you guys knowing my position of lighting was the end of hall. But it was really really a pleasure & proud to watch how you all changed from beginning to end, from not familiar to pro in handling own character. I know you all will be proud of yourself too so bravo everyone! The night was a success for us & it's a wrap!!!
In overall, it was really fun to work in a team with all of you & I really look forward to have another chance! I know it's quite hard since some of you are already in year 3 which will be very busy especially in coming sem but I really do hope there's another chance for us to work together again as a team! I know some people might not have the same way as we see this show as a success, but it's okay as long as we know what we are doing & what we did. Thankiuuuuu for being my first group of family in this little life journey of mine & the memories we had together shall be part of my favourite moments. I love every single one of you as a friend & as a family. Fear not for not being able to meet as I'm sure all of you hanging out gang will be having gathering from time to time.
